Boston Terrier Rescue is made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers from around the country. Together we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, unwanted, neglected and surrendered dogs of any age. We network extensively and spread the word about Bostons that are in shelters, take fosters into our own homes and conduct extensive home checks to ensure that when we re-home a dog it is for life.
We understand that people’s circumstances can change and we are always happy to assist with surrendered dogs or finding the best possible forever home. If needed, flights can be arranged free of charge and we will assist with transport and relocating where needed.
We try and prevent people from buying dogs from puppy mills and backyard breeders as Boston breeding is best left to the professionals due to their characteristically larger heads that can cause birthing complications. A good Boston breeder will only re-home puppies after 8 weeks, ensuring that the puppies are healthy and have a head start in the socialisation process.
